Injected YouTube application - iYTBP

Are you tired of the annoying Youtube ads? Do you want to play Youtube in the background on locked/turned off phone without paying 10$ per month for Youtube Red? Well, there is an elegant solution to your problems - iYTBP injected Youtube application! So, without further ado, let's start with the review.

**Introduction of the app**

At the moment there are few ways to watch ad-free content, with background capabilities. You can pay 10$ per month for Youtube Red which is a good option if you some extra bucks to spend. Another option is the Xposed module which can provide the same functionalities, but I really find that iYTBP injected app solution is the easiest and fastest solution. Of course, there is a good news you can install iYTBP on rootless phones and provided application will work without any problems.

**Step by Step installation guide**

Prerequisites!

• Rooted phone, again this step is not mandatory, but if you already have rooted phone I personally prefer the rooted method. 
• Droid info - a small application which is needed to find your phone architecture and DPI scale.If you know your phone parameters already you can skip this step.
• Make sure that your Youtube application is uninstalled(if it's user app) or deleted from the system apps if it is a system app. In my case, I'm using Solid Explorer and the folder path is root>system/app/youtube apk. file
• Custom Recovery for the rooted phone method or if you want to install this mod on a rootless phone, you can ignore this step.

Installation guide for rooted phones

1. Download following files from here. Following file ->iYTBP-youtube-vanced-installer.zip is mandatory. Following your phone architecture and DPI scale find needed Youtube apk file (always look for the latest version). In my case, I'm using Nexus 5x phone with ARM64-V8a architecture and 420 DPI. So, in this case you need to find following Youtube apk file > Youtube_12.32.59-1232593440_minAPI21(arm64-v8a)(480dpi)-vanced-backgroundplayback.apk
2. Go and uninstall or delete your original Youtube application.
3. Both files should be stored in one and the same folder
4. Boot into custom recovery and flash the ZIP file 
5. Reboot your phone 
6. Check if your Youtube application is moded. Open Youtube app>your Youtube profile> See if you can see the additional iYTBP settings for the background play and ad-free content.

Installation guide for non-rooted phones

1. Follow step 1 from the rooted installation guide
2. You only need moded Youtube application Youtube_12.32.59-1232593440_minAPI21(arm64-v8a)(480dpi)-vanced-backgroundplayback.apk, go and install this apk. file like any other application (NOTE: u have to enable unknown sources in your android system settings) and you don't have to uninstall an already installed youtube system app.
3. In addition, if u want to be able to login into your account download provided microG app for example "microG_for_YouTube_Vanced_0.2.4.apk" and install it.
4. Use Settings->notification and then the three dot menu in non-root YT app to login into your account.

**My Personal Feedback**

I'm using this moded Youtube application for about 2-3 weeks and I'm very happy with the final outcome. There are no adds, you can play your clips in the background when you lock/switch off your phone screen.There are some additional options like - Force VP9 Codec, Override max resolution limit, Preferred video quality.
In the end do not forget to stop your auto-update settings in the google play store, because if you update your Youtube application, you will lose all modded options.
